Greetings from New Mexico

« on: July 31, 2010, 11:55:39 AM »

I have just read the account of the Lancaster, PA concert and must give credit where it is due.  First, to all those in Celtic Woman who arranged the post-concert meeting.  Second, to Mike, MP, and all the others in the forum who helped make it happen.  Finally, to Mairead, Lynn, Lisa, and Chloe for all coming to meet Ann Marie.  This is just another account of the exceptional grace that all of you have both on and off the stage.  Your attention to Ann Marie both during and after the concert was superb but nothing unusual for you. It simply reminds me of why I love being a part of the CW family. Thank you all again.

Yes, on behalf of the leadership team here and the members our thanks go to Celtic Woman, Rachel, Máiréad, and the other artists for making a young woman's dream come true. Circumstances are such that attending a show let alone meeting Máiréad and the others was a challenge at best. Last night the world smiled. We are only too happy to have been part of that magic here. Congratulations to ann Maire. The whole forum is wearing a huge smile which you can still see clearly beneath the tears of joy.

Thank you to the girls of Celtic Woman and the staff for helping Ann Marie's dream come true. How wonderful that she was able to meet all the artists. This is just another example of the kindness and generosity that exudes from each of the members of Celtic Woman.

Thank you again, Barb

You beat me to it, Robert.  A post here was on my list of things to do today, my first "day off" in two weeks.  I thanked everyone in person Friday night and again in Philly last night but verbal thank you's are fleeting.  Something more permanent needs to go here.  Rather than start a separate thread of my own, I'll just add my message here.

Dearest Máiréad,

I could be trite here and say that you have no idea how important what you did Friday night was to Ann Marie, but I know differently.  You know exactly how important that night was to her and I want to thank you from the depths of my heart for that.  In my communications with John I had only requested you for the meeting since Ann Marie plays violin and wanted to meet you.  When I found out from Rachel that all of you would be there I was overcome with joy.  Your gifts to her that night, both from the stage and afterward, were immeasurable.  It was my indescribable pleasure to witness your kindness and attention to Ann Marie and the look on her face as she was literally surrounded by Celtic Women was priceless.

I would like to say a huge Thank You to Celtic Woman, John, Rachel, Chloë, Lisa, Lynn and you for making Friday night the most special night ever for Ann Marie.  I am so happy that we, the members of your forum, were able to play a small part in making her dream com true.  After the meeting, while I waited for her parents to pick her up, she was positively glowing.  She now has enough memories to last for several lifetimes.

Thank you again; you never cease to amaze me.  Go raibh míle maith agat.

Go siúlfaidh tú ar solas na gréine i gcónaí, nach mbeadh aon rud eile de dhíth ort, go leagfadh na h-aingil Éireannacha a cuid sciatháin in aice do dhoras.

MrPeabody,

This is what originally drew me to the Máiréad Nesbitt Forum, and I too would like to add my genuine appreciation of what these young Irish women have done for this special young lady and out of the pureness of their hearts and the affection of their souls.  I will miss this and being a part of it, the forum serves a wonderful function for both our Máiréad and for all those who love her.

Ngach fírinne, siúlóidí Máiréad sa solas na gréine timpeallaithe ag an aingil. Mairead Is é ár n-aingeal, is Mairead mar bhronntanas ó dia, is Mairead  is beannacht dúinn ar fad.   Tá siad ar gach beannacht.

Dea-Slán,

Allen

Dearest Mairead,

Since this folder is directed to you personally, and meant to be used as a way of sending you messages, I thought I would send a little note to you & hope you do get time to drop in & read it.
Dear lady, I have been a fan, then been a part of this, your web site, and then become so privileged, as to be considered by you, to be a friend.
I was just thinking... How blessed am I? Since shortly after this Celtic Woman journey began, I have been a part of something I think is just so inspiring and beautiful.
So much good has come from the inspiration you have given not only me, but those who created this site, and joined up with it.
You inspire so many, and now there is this web site where folks from all over the world can come together, inspired by the same thing... This beautiful music, that you and the rest of this amazingly talented group of people some how create together.
All these folks, inspired by music, come together here. Together, we have raised money for a charity that you back, and I think, in some small way, made this world just a little bit better place to be.
All of this is happening, because you and these other talented folks that you work with, have shared with us, this incredible gift of music.
I just wanted to say thank you Mairead.. Just for being you.

Once again, sincerely and respectfully yours...
